3 September 2005: Eva Longoria, who stars in Desperate Housewives, has been voted as the world's sexiest TV
actress in poll conducted by retail chain Sainsbury. In Desperate Housewives, Eva Longoria appears as Gabrielle
Solis, a glamorous, former model married to Carlos. Gabrielle is frustrated since most of her teenage dreams did not bear fruit and she hates her life. Eva Longoria in Desperate Housewives has a fling with the gardener.

Longoria has beaten more established stars like Jennifer Aniston, making to the top of the heap. Aniston who stars
in Friends came in second, while Kim Cattrall of Sex and The City was placed third. The poll was conducted by
British chain Sainsbury's. Pamela Anderson of Baywatch was placed fourth, while Sarah Michelle Gellar came in
fifth.
Eva Longoria went to Texas A&M-Kingsville, where she graduated in Kinesiology. She attended a talent contest that
which brought her to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, she was signed on by a theatrical agent. Eva was determined to
take up a career in the glamour world.
After roles on The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital and co-starring on Beverly Hills, 90210, Eva Longoria
won the role of Isabella on TV series The Young and the Restless.
Eva Longoria currently lives in Los Angeles. Recently, she was actively involved in the John Kerry-John Edwards
campaign, educating Latino voters about the Presidential candidate, participating at the Congressional Hispanic
Caucus and with the 2004 Bus Tour Campaign. Eva's pastimes include salsa dancing, cooking and reading Latino
literature and history.

The sexy Eva Longoria who is dating basket ball star Tony Parker says that she wants to start a family with him. But
she is not too keen on the Eiffel-tower-style-proposal that Tom cruised into. "Tony is not that type at all," she was
quoted as saying. Eva Longoria said: "I'll shout it from a mountain top. He's the one. We've even talked about kids.
He'd be a great dad."
The hot seductress on small screen, Eva Longoria stands all of five feet 3 inches tall while Tony Parker is a good

Soon, Eva Longoria landed the role of Gabrielle Solis in Desperate Housewives in 2004.
Eva was married to Tyler Christopher of "General Hospital" from 2002 to 2004. A former "Miss Corpus Christi" Eva

in Maxim Magazine's hottest female stars of 2005.
Eva Longoria has a way of courting controversies it seems. She was once quoted as saying in a TV interview that
she loves using a vibrator, and that every woman should have one and rely on those battery-operated sex toys.
However, ABC Network, which hosts Desperate Housewives later told her to shut up about her sex confessions. ABC
did not want Eva Longoria' loose remarks about her sex life to shock her fans and TV viewers. "Will you please stop
saying vibrator," the ABC bosses were reported as telling her.
Recently, she was in the news for wearing a controversial T-shirt, which said "I'll have your baby, Brad". After she
was photographed wearing the T-shirt, Eva Longoria apologised to Jennifer Aniston, since the two had just had
divorced. "I do regret wearing it and I have written to Jennifer Aniston to express my sympathies over her marriage,"
Longoria later said.
Publicity-crazy? Eva Longoria has also disclosed once in an interview that she loved waxing and that it has made
her feel like Angelina Jolie.
Eva is still suffering from an accident she had last month on the sets of Desperate Housewives, when a metal pole
hit her head. Longoria has since been complaining about a pestering headache. The stars and producers are
working around Eva's it, and have rescheduled several shoots.
