Chananporn Rosjan wins Miss Universe national costume contest

Chananporn Rosjan, reigning Miss Thailand Universe 2005 has been selected the best among over 80 world beauty queens of Miss Universe 2005 contest wearing a national costume.
Miss Chananporn Rosjan, 22 took the attire of Thailand's Ayutthaya period, walking away with the 'Best Costume Award' at the competition. She beat 80 other contestants to this prize. Thailnad is hosting this year's Miss Universe 2005 on May 31.
Rosjan bagged a trophy and a cash prize of US$1,000, presented by minister Somsak Thepsuthin. The first and second runner-up prizes went to Miss Mexico and Miss Turks And Caicos.
Miss Chananporn, an engineering graduate, won the title of Miss Universe Thailand 2005 earlier this year. She represents Thailand at the Miss Universe 2005 contest. The pageant will be held at the Impact Arena in Muang Thong Thani of Nonthaburi Province outside Bangkok.
