Charles-Camilla wedding in Ascot Room near Windsor Castle
BY A CORRESPONDENT
March 22: Britain has officially unveiled the room in
which Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles will get
married on April 8. Called the Ascot Room, it is a tiny room
located in the 17th century Guildhall next to Windsor Castle,
just 5X7 meters in area. However, Royal Commentator Judy Wade
insisted that Ascot Room isn't as small as made out to be.
"The press led us to believe it was a dingy with stained
carpets. There are a few very tiny stains but nowhere near
where the royal couple will sit. So all in all, Ascot is quite
a nice room to be married in."
Photographs published in the British media last week had
exposed the shabby surrounds of Ascot Room that appeared in
desperate need of a clean. On Monday, the Ascot room was
cleaned and tidied with white floral displays in place.
