International Gemological Institute launches Diamond Laser Inscription System

International Gemological Institute (IGI), the leading diamond, gemstone & jewelry certification laboratory in the country, has launched India’s first ‘Diamond Laser Inscription System’ -- ‘LASERSCRIBE -- for jewellers and consumers in India.
With this, consumers can customise diamonds by inscribing a message on it for gifting on memorable occasions.
The state-of-the-art laser inscription service allows inscription of gem identification information as well as personalised messages, a press release said.
“Worldwide, diamond laser inscription is a much sought after and used service. IGI is delighted to offer LASERSCRIBE to the Indian jewellery industry and consumers. This should give the fast growing diamond gifting trend a further impetus,” Tehmasp Printer, MD, IGI India.
India’s leading diamond brands including Adora, ORRA, Arisia, Ishis and Goldstar’s Elinor that are exclusively certified by IGI are availing of this value added service. The price ranges between Rs 300 to Rs 500 depending on the message and certificate number.
IGI today operates from 9 main diamond cities including Antwerp, New York, Bangkok, Mumbai, Tokyo, Dubai, Hong Kong, Toronto Los Angeles and Tel Aviv.
