Mumbai is going to be getting another hot rod dealer.
The hottest German number is going to be streaking across the streets of Mumbai soon. The Porsche 911 GT2, to
be precise. The young CEO of Shreyans Motors (which has been set up by
Talera) is Ashish Chordia who has the muscle (and the money) behind
this aspirational brand.
At the moment, a number of venues are still being scouted to house
these beauties. But whether India has as many people who can afford
this car is anybody's guess. After all, at last count, at least two
Maybachs were sold, which costs Rs 5 crore each.
Incidentally, the chairman of this company is a demure, young woman
called Neha Talera whose family already has the Ford and Mercedes Benz
dealerships in Pune. So she does have a history of selling cars but
from a hands-off perspective. Married at a young age into the business
family, she's never had to handle the reins of any company that the
family owns. But having endured immense personal tragedy, she's
emerged into her own person.
This venture is her husband's dream and has been seen through to
completion by her and her nephew, Ashish. It is also a story of
renewal and recovery, but that is a story for another time and moment.
Get a glimpse of this steel beauty and prepared to get floored!
