North Korea calls Japan a
territory of the United States
Japan just a territory of the United States, declares North Korea.

“Japan not welcome” is the message Pyongyang has to deliver to Tokyo and the international; community. The reason: “Japan is just a territory of the United States”.
North Korea has made it clear that Japan, which is
'a territory of the US', should not bother to attend six-country talks on ending its nuclear weapons
program, which are expected to resume in the next month.
North Korea had agreed to return to the talks involving the two Koreas, Japan, China, Russia and the United States after staying away for a year in protest of a US crackdown on its international finances.
According to a North Korean foreign ministry official it would be much better for Japan to refrain from participating in the six-party talks and less attendants would be not bad for making the talks fruitful.
North Korea feels that since the United States attends the six-party talks, there is no need for Japan to participate in them as a local delegate because it is no more than a state of the U.S. and it is enough for Tokyo just to be informed of the results of the talks by Washington.
The rift between North Korea and Japan has a long history and was triggered when at least 13 Japanese citizens were abducted in the 1970s and the 1980s. North Korea had flayed Japan for raising the issue at the six-way talks.
And more recently, soon after North Korea launched ballistic missiles in July and followed it up with its first nuke test on October 9, Tokyo has been active in implementing UN sanctions on Pyongyang.
