The al-Qaeda tentacles seem to be spreading fast and wide. In a startling revelation on Friday, it has been found that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, and Congress president Sonia Gandhi are beng targeted by the terror network.

Reports added that a letter received by authorities in New Delhi has pointed out that major cities of Uttar Pradesh like capital Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad, and Rae Bareli are under Osama threat.

According to sources, a terror unit of Sajjad, a Pakistani national who leads the anti-India operations of the United Jehad Council, is learnt to be aiming to target Sonia and Singh. The United Jehad Council was set up as part of Al Qaida's campaign for global jehad and is focused on fomenting trouble in India, it has been revealed.
