Tamar Ziskind is the winner of the Miss Israel 2008 contest. Tamar will take part in the Miss World 2008 contest that will be held at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on December 13, 2008.

Tamar was born and brought up in Haifa, in the Carmel Mountains in north Israel.

Tamar Ziskind is preparing university studies in medicine in Jerusalem. She is working as a guide for a psychometric course and aims to become a doctor.

Tamar enjoys traveling and wind surfing, skiing, and jet skiing.

In her spare time, she likes to listen to rock music and piano. Tamar can play the piano since she was 8 years old.

At the Miss Israel 2008 contest, 21-year-old Shunit Faragi was the winner of Israel’s Maiden of Beauty award. Shunit Faragi is a soldier from Kiryat Tiv’on. She represented Israel at the Miss Universe 2008 contest.

The winner of Israel’s Queen of Grace award was 18- year-old No’a Avrahami of Tel Aviv, at the Miss Israel  2008 contest.

No’a Avrahami represented Israel in the Miss Europe 2008 contest.

Lin Mor who won Israel’s Teen Queen award represented Israel in the Miss Earth 2008 contest. The Miss Earth 2008 winner was Karla Henry from the Philippines.
