i like psytrance…i love goa…i love curlies…i love arambol and morjim…but goa has become so fucked up that all shit happens here only…rampant drugs, rapes, thefts, murder…do you know 61 tourists died in goa last year..i mean wat the fuck?
goans…stop tolerating this drug run nonsense and clean goa before other ‘better’ destinations like thailand and malaysia steal the thunder…chop chop..time’s running out…get to work

bangalore mirror did a reality check on Goa, during Holi to check how far has it been made “safe”….

Zilch….nothing has changed! Infact Holi was celebrated with much enthusiasm by the locals and tourist alike at the beaches!

Nice piece. I think the drug industry provides good ‘mamool’ to the cops and politicians. Every tom knows that it thrives in Goa – its just about receiving attention. And the media is known to vulture (& arouse public sympathy) on such topics. Like the Jesicca Lal murder – where even an influential politicians son wasn’t let off.

The cops hushed the affair coz Scarlette was nobody – and they hadn’t anticipated a fightback from her hippie mother who was not even economically stable. The guy who raped her – provided her with drugs too…must have been a sick bastard/infleuntial soul.

So the cops were obviously protecting him (rather than the tourism ministers claim that the police could have hushed it up fearing impact on Goa’s tourism…what rubbish which cop thinks so much).

And the more her mother hangs around ….more the media attention and higher the chances of new things getting dug up. Hats off to the mother for fighting.
