Vanessa Hudgens, the High School Musical cutie, has said that she will bare all, once she is old enough and if the role demands it and all that, of course.
I wish someone would tell these nubile young things not to trot out the same tired lines. After all, they have enough to improvise, unlike their older sistas.
How about, I will bare all if its the winter solstice and I want to dance naked and revive my drooping spirit?
Or I will bare all to drive my director and co-stars nuts, especially if I have to play a nun, and so on.
Lots of inventive reasons out there.
Here’s what Vanessa said to People magazine, though, “I will show nudity in a film when the time is right. Right now, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it.”
“When the time’s right, if it’s an amazing movie that I’m really passionate about and that’s what it calls for, then we’ll see,” she added.
Currently, Vanessa has two films in her kitty. She will star in Beastly, a tweeny remake of Beauty and the Beast, based on Alex Finn’s novel, to be directed by Daniel Bartz.
Beastly is about a young boy (Alex Pettyfer) who turns into a beast after a witch casts a spell on him, for being naughty and rude. Very original twist to the story, I must say.
Vanessa Hudgens has also signed up for a girlie action flick, Sucker Punch, to be directed by Zack Snyder (300 and Watchmen).
Sucker Punch is a story of a young girl, Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), who is institutionalized by her stepfather. Blondie takes refuge in an alternate reality.
Blondie undergoes a journey along with other girls while they are at a Brothel. Amanda Seyfriend, Emma Stone, Abbie Cornish and Evan Rachel Wood will star with Vanessa in Sucker Punch.
Vanessa Hudgens has said that she would love to play the tough girl in Sucker Punch.
“I’m going to have to control my laughter. I’ve never played a tough girl before.”
“You can’t please everybody, so you just go with what you’re passionate about and hope for the best. You look for characters who interest you, who you can identify with, and you try to play those characters with good directors,” she added.
The singing actress will be next seen in the 2009 Bandslam, which is about a nerdy teenager Will (Gaelan Connell) who gets to band up with the popular ex-cheerleader Charlotte Barnes (Alyson Michalka) of his school.
Charlotte’s motive for approaching Will is to take revenge against her egoistic ex-boyfriend Ben Wheatley (Scott Porter) who has a band of his own.
Will helps Charlotte put together a band of no-hopers who finally get their act together to take on Ben Wheatley’s Glory Dog band.
Will also meets Sam (Vanessa Hudgens), a young girl whose musical abilities are yet to be realized.
