Hefner has been quoted as saying, “There’s no question we would be interested in Kate. It’s a competitive market, more than it used to be, so she would be a most welcome addition in our pages.”

Kate Winslet is no stranger to nudity on screen and in print. The British actress has stripped in movies like Titanic (1997) where she gets her nude picture sketched, Iris (2001) where she is skinny dipping, Hideous Kinky (1998) that has her topless in a scene, and recently The Reader, where she has explicit lovemaking scenes.

But, she is reported to have said recently in an interview in Time magazine, that she will not disrobe on screen in the future.

She said, “I think I won’t do it again: A. I can’t keep getting away with it, and B. I don’t want to become ‘that actress who always gets her kit off.’”

Kate Winslet’s last two movies, Revolutionary Road and The Reader, have been vastly appreciated. In Revolutionary Road, directed by her husband Sam Mendes, she stars with Leonardo Di Caprio. Revolutionary Road, based on the book by the same name, Richard Yates, is the story of a young couple who move to the suburbs of Connecticut with their two children. Dissatisfied with their marriage and their lives, they try to find ways to deal with the situation.

In The Reader, Kate Winslet plays a woman (Hanna Schmitz) who has a tumultuous affair with a younger man, Michael Berg (David Kross), in post -World War II Germany.

She disappears shortly. Berg, now a lawyer (played by Ralph Fiennes), finds her again, as a defendent in a war crime trial.
