The movie will bring back the central cast – Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal – along with Katrina Kaif.

Hera Phera 4, produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, will be directed by Anees Bazmee. Hera Phera, and its sequel Phir Hera Pheri was directed by Priyadarshan and Neeraj Vohra, respectively.

Anees Bazmi is the director of hits like No Entry, Welcome and Singh Is Kinng.

Hera Pheri 4 will go into production in March 2010, reports say.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Katrina Kaif will be next seen in Priyadarshan’s De Dana Dan, set for a November 27, 2009 release.

De Dana Dan has been produced by Vipul Shah.

The actor who gave back-to-back hits in 2007-2008, gave back-to-back flops in 2009. All his movies released in 2009 so far – Chandni Chowk to China, 8×10 Tasveer, and Kambhakht Ishq-  have flopped.

The fate of his latest movie, Blue, made at a whopping cost of Rs 100 crore plus, is as yet undecided.

Kareena Kapoor is said to be doing an underwater bikini scene in Kambakkht Ishq. There was a lot of brouhaha when she wore a bikini in Tashan, which is now being repeated with Kambakkht Ishq.

But this time, Kareena will be a little more curvaceous. Apparently, she has been asked to put on weight, so she will not look rail thin as she did in Tashan.

And what Kareena does, her bosom buddy Amrita Arora does too. She says she has worked hard on a bikini body, but from her pictures she does not look cadaverous or starved, which is a relief.

I suspect Kambakkht Ishq is peppered with bikinis to make up for the lack of a storyline. The movie peddles the done-to-death battle of the sexes.

Kambakkht Ishq is about an Indian stuntman (Akshay Kumar) and a supermodel (Kareena Kapoor), who hate each others guts. He is a casanova and she is a prim little miss who thinks that men are only interested in sex.

A look at the promo is enough to convince me that this movie will be a complete waste of the tons of money poured into it.

The movie is supposed to be funny but if the lines in the promo are anything to go by, Kambakkht Ishq is going to be boring as hell.

Sample this. “What do you know about stuntmen, huh?” our hero asks. “Second-hand people with second-hand lives,” she retorts. If this the level of their banter, I will gladly give the movie a miss.

And, what’s with the sword-fighting scene, a direct copy of the absolutely sensuous scene from Joddha Akbar? It makes no sense whatsoever.

The tag lines of Kambakkht Ishq in the promo, say Hollywood Meets Bollywood, and A Perfect Love Story…..That Wasn’t.

My problem is why on earth did the bickering duo have to be in Hollywood? He can be a stuntman here, she can be a supermodel here; why drag in a poor Sylvester Stallone who looks as though he has no clue why he is there?

The only funny line in the promo- albeit unintentionally – is Sylvester Stallone ferociously nodding his head and spitting out “Kambakkht Ishq.”

But since the movie insists on being a mating between Bollywood and Hollywood, it has been shot entirely in Los Angeles, California, and Universal Studios.

The promo of Kambakkht Ishq was revealed during the screening of Aa Dekhen Zara, which released on March 27, 2009.

Kambakkht Ishq has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and helmed by first-time director Sabbir Khan. The script has been written by Sabbir Khan and Ishita Moitra.

Sabbir Khan was the Assistant Director in hits like Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya? and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.

Akshay Kumar’s last movie Chandni Chowk to China was his biggest flop after nearly seven back-to-back hits, the last one being the blockbuster Singh is Kinng.

He will be seen next in Nagesh Kukunoor’s Tasveer 8×10 and Blue.

The movie, called 8×10 earlier, has been in the making for a long time now, but is expected to release on April 3, 2009.

Some reports say that 8×10 Tasveer is still in post-production and may not meet it April 3, 2009 release date.

8 X 10 Tasveer is the story of Jai (Akshay Kumar) who has an unique gift of looking into the past of the dead, by touching their personal objects. He often uses this ability to help people.

Things take a personal turn when Jai’s father (Benjamin Gilani) dies in mysterious circumstances in a boat accident. Events lead Jai to suspect that his father was murdered.

The only way he can find out the truth is by using an 8×10 photograph, taken by his mother (Sharmila Tagore) just before his father’s death.

The photograph captures his father with his best friend (Girish Karnad), his adopted son (Rushad Rana), and younger brother (Anant Mahadevan).

Jai goes into the past time and again to gather clues as to the identity of the killer, who is now hunting him. Can he beat the killer at his own game?

The 8×10 Tasveer cast includes Anant Mahadevan, Sharmila Tagore, Girish Karnad, Benjamin Gilani, Uttara Baokar, Andrea Tully, Pia Shah, and Rushad Rana.

The film’s music is composed by Salim-Sulaiman. The title track of 8×10 Tasveer is composed by Bohemia.

The movie has been produced by Percept Pictures. Reports say that Percept will release 8×10 Tasveer in approximately 1200-1400 screens, unlike big-budget flicks that are usually released in 1500 – 1800 screens worldwide.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in Chandni Chowk to China. The movie flopped breaking his long run of hits at the box office. In 2009, Akshay Kumar will be seen in Kambhakt Ishq and Blue.

However this time around, the show along with host Akshay Kumar and other celebrities, will also feature the common man and the viewers who clear the auditions. Anybody who has the confidence to go through tough stunts and wants to appear on TV can apply for the auditions. The auditions will be held all over the country later this year. The last date for sending the forms is 15th February 2009. Details are avaiable on the channel website. The auditions will be held in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow and Ahmedabad.

The Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 2 is expected to be much more gripping this time around. An elated Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head, Colors said, “Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 2 is going to be a notch higher in terms of bigger celebrity participants than the last season, the difficulty level of challenges. The inclusion of the common man as a co-contender will definitely create a lot of excitement. Although Colors is yet to disclose the names of the celebrities participating, Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 2 is sure going to be much more power packed and entertaining, affirms Deepak Dhar, Managing Director, Endemol India, “Expect complete fireworks this season because we’ve raised the bar across the board. Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 2 is a double dose of everything from action to stunts and from the contestants to Khiladi Kumar himself.”

Last year the winner was Nethra Raghuvanshi who beat 12 other particiapnts. Khatron ke Khiladi season 1 enjoyed a fair bit of success and now with indications that the KKK level 2 will be more sensational and more electrifying than the last time, be prepared to feel the rush of adrenaline get even stronger this time.

Patiala House will have not one, two, or three Surds, but, God Almighty, 32 of them! The 32 Surds will be part of a joint family residing, presumably, in Patiala House.
