Patiala House movie is Akshay Kumar’s next with 32 sardars

For those who haven’t had enough of Surds (or sardars)and the whole Punjabi shindig, there is more to come.

Indiatimes has reported that Akshay Kumar will do his Singh act again for his next flick, Patiala House.

Patiala House will have not one, two, or three Surds, but, God Almighty, 32 of them! The 32 Surds will be part of a joint family residing, presumably, in Patiala House.

The head of the family will be played by Dara Singh, who has honed the role of a punjabi patriach to a fine art. Dara’s son Vindu, who had, some million years ago, tried to break into Bollywood will also be part of the Patiala platoon.

Patiala House will be produced by Nikhil Advani and Mukesh Talreja. Patiala House will go into production later in 2009.

Akshay Kumar in the blockbuster Singh is Kinng

Akshay Kumar is on a roll with seven back-to-back hits. His Chandni Chowk to China will be released on January15, 2008 and is very likely to be a blockbuster.

In 2009, Akshay Kumar will be seen is two other flicks, Eight by Ten and Kambhakt Ishq. Eight by Ten is  directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, and stars Ayesha Takia and Sharmila Tagore.

Produced By Sajid Nadiadwala, Kambhakt Ishq, or Incredible Love, stars Brandon Routh, Kareena Kapoor, Denise Richards, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Beyonce Knowles.

Akshay Kumar’s other release in 2009, Blue, stars Sunil Shetty, Sunil Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutt, and Zayed Khan. Blue has been helmed by first-time director, Anthony D’Souza.
