I find it very promising what Emma Thompson thinks of Audrey Hepburn as Eliza Doolittle. Like it or
not – but I think she is dead right. So – will Keira Knightley do a better job? Well – it is very,very likely.
And – can`t we get started soon – before everyone is too old – and the winter comes. I find Keira Knightley to be inherently born for this role. Just you wait and see her fly…ducky.

Thinking of the script. Why not try to make Eliza ironic humorous ,funny and gay. As I remember – Audry Hepburn was not even close in those aspects – except when she could have danced all night. Could Keira Knightly manage ? Well – I think so – better then anyone else – again with the right script.

Everyone famous except Emma Thompson seems to have left out this remake. Hard to understand
why? is the script good enough – or what is the problem?- Keira Knightley -Daniel Day- Lewia – Joe
Wright … should all be the best cornerstones for a delightful remake … and given a fair chance with a more than a fair opportunity to really update this everlasting – everyday – drama – with the carrying music. Get in Tim Rice – my best advice – to look things over. Emma Thopson – if not the rest of the team – could need all the help they can get – the scrip will be of vital importance for a success!

The latest comment is from Karen – quite some time ago. Hopefully it is not to late to claim with some
insight on qualifications – Keira Knightley is inherently wonderful as Eliza Doolittle both singing and
acting – if she has not lost all her talent lately. No need to compare with Audrey Hepburn – she was
not a great actor or singer in my view – just seemingly innocent beautiful. Keira Knightley will not play
like that – be sure. If only time will be on the right side so this can materialize.

I don’t think this will come out well…no one can replace Audrey Hepburn. The only people who can pull off Eliza ( I think anyway ) are Audrey Hepburn or perhaps Julie Andrews, they are the only people with the right acting skill. Too bad Julie is too old now =( I think Julie could do the role of Eliza wonderfully. I miss Julie’s singing she was so good. Well I’ll see if they can make it work.

Anthony Stewart Head would make a much better Prof. Higgins. I’d like to see him in a major role. He has a wonderful singing voice and he’s great at being a pompous ass. And Kiera Knightly cannot hold a candle to Audrey Hepburn. I don’t know of an actress who could possibly replace her. She is too much of an icon. However if Emma Thompson is writing the screen play at least the script will turn out well. After all she did a wonderful job with Sense and Sensibility.

I doubt if the remake could cast the same magic as the original movie did.Anyway it would be fascinating to see Keira Knightley acting “a good girl”
