Malayalam superstar Mammootty’s experiences with doing films in other languages have not been entirely remarkable. Nevertheless, the man is at it again, and this time, he has Bollywood actress Konkana Sen Sharma working with him.
As long as they don’t make Mammootty dance, I guess everything should be fine.
Or perhaps we jumped the gun. The Kannada movie is called Shikari, and it seems while Konkana Sen Sharma has expressed interest in doing the movie after seeing the script, she has not said a final yes to the project yet.
Directory Abhay Simha is thrilled with getting Mammootty, and he hopes Konkana too would sign on the dotted line.
Shikari seems to be a serious movie – about exploitation of nature and environment. Abhay Simha’s first movie, Gubbachchiigalu, was about city kids’ search for sparrows. The movie was widely appreciated. Shikari is produced by N R Shetty.
