Based in Indiana, in the 1980s, the story revolves around a jailbird (Leonardo Di Caprio) who wants to be rehabilitated in society but cannot shrug off his past. He is dogged by a shadow from his past looking to settle a score.

Apart from the man hunting DiCaprio, The Low Dwellers will star another male character and a female lead, in substantial roles.

The Low Dwellers has been scripted by Brad Ingelsby who got $650,000 from Relativity Media for the script.

The Low Dwellers is said to be reminiscent of The History of Violence and No Country for Old Men.

Ridley Scott and Leonarado Di Caprio have just wrapped up Body of Lies, their first venture together.

In Body of Lies, scripted by William Monahan, Leonardo DiCaprio plays a scribe-turned-government-agent shadowing an Al Qaeda operative.

Leonardo DiCaprio will also star in Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island. Scorcese and DiCaprio has worked in three movies so far, the last being The Departed.
