Global Indian Film Awards to be held in Malaysia
Big hits of the year KANK, Lage Raho Munnabhai and RDB will compete for best film.

Oozing glamour in Malaysia soon will be Bollywood, this season. Come December, and the Hindi film industry would be spotted vying for awards at a Malaysian locale.
The event, Global Indian Film Awards is to organized in Malaysia during December 7-9. The top grossers of the year, such as Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Lage Raho Munnabhai and India's Oscar entry Rang De Basanti will compete for the best film trophy. Among the actors, the battle royale will be between Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan .
While sultry siren Bipasha Basu has been nominated in the best actress segment for her performance in Corporate, Kajol for Fanaa and newcomer Kangana Ranaut for Gangster, Rani Mukherjee for Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Kareena Kapoor would figt it out for her role in the critically acclaimed Omkara .
When its music, A R Rahman has to be there. Rahman has been nominated for Rang De Basanti and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy get the call for Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, among others.
Meanwhile, the technical awards have already been announced. As expected producers of Rang De Basanti took home four awards for Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Background Score and Best Art Direction. Other winners included Lage Raho Munnabhai for Best Story and Best Dialogue and Krissh for Best Sound Design and Best Action.
The surprise package for the event would be the premiere of Ravi Chopra's much awaited Baabul, starring Rani Mukherjee, Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan .
