His birthday gift couldn’t have been better. Govinda has made an unforgettable come back with
Priyadarshan’s Bhagam Bhag. The movie is reportedly a laugh riot that has left Mumbai panting.
Govinda, who celebrated his birthday on December 21, feels that his comeback in Bhagam Bhag is a gift
he is giving his family and fans on his birthday. The actor had stayed off the celluloid for five years now
and had been active as Member of Parliament (MP) during this period.
Talking of the mega opening the Priyadarshan directed flick has had in Mumbai, he remembers that he
had promised my family that he would return to cinema after a very short interval. However, instead of a
very short perio, it has taken five years. The result is a mega laugh riot called Bhagam Bhag.
Govinda had trounced former petroleum minister Ram Naik to win the Lok Sabha elections. Since his
election to the LS, he had been actively involved in learning the ropes in politics and preferred to keep off
movies. Now with Bhagam Bhag, the actor-MP has made the come back any contemporary would envy.
Govinda says that he had called his close friend and director David Dhavan to help him out for a come
back. David Dhawan in turn called up Salman Khanand Suniel Shetty. Suneil, offered the role tailor-made
for him to Govinda, and the director okayed him, paving the way for a come back.
