Barah Aana, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Raaz, and Arjun Mathur, Violante Placido, and Tannishtha Chatterjee, will be released on March 20, 2009.
The movie has been directed by Raja Menon.

Barah Aana is about the lives of three migrants from Uttar Pradesh, who live together in Mumbai. The trio do not have much in common, but are friends nevertheless.

One is an even-tempered driver Shukla (Naseeruddin Shah), the other a timid but sweet watchman Yadav (Vijay Raaz), and the third a young swashbuckling waiter Aman (Arjun Mathur).

The watchman, Yadav, who is a pushover and often gets into trouble at work, finds himself in the middle of a crime and decides it may be a good way to make easy money. For once, he feels bold enough to carry out such a crime, and tries to rope in his friends as well. The best-laid plans go awry, the whole venture spins out of control, and things are never the same again for the three friends.

Barah Aana also stars Benjamin Gilani, Barry John, and Mahabanoo Mody-Kotwal.
The drama-comedy has been written by Raj Kumar Gupta (screenplay) and Raja Menon (story).

Before Barah Aana, Raja Menon, had directed written and directed Bas Yun Hi (2003), starring Nandita Das, Purab Kohli, and Rajiv Gopalakrishnan. The movie tanked at the box office.
Naseeruddin Shah was last seen in Maharathi and the critically acclaimed A Wednesday. His forthcoming movies include Red Alert:The War Within, 7 to the Palace, and Ishqiya.
Vijay Raaz, the delightful Dubeyji of Monsoon Wedding, appeared last in Dilli 6. He will be seen next in Delhi Belly (2009), I am 24, and Paperback Raita.
Arjun Mathur, who played Farhan Akhtar’s struggling friend in Zoya Akhtar’s Luck By Chance, will appear in Mumbai Cutting, My Name is Khan, and Bhoomi, in 2009.
