Jodhaa Akbar: 2009 Filmfare Best Film award nominee
Ashutosh Gowariker’s historical film Jodhaa Akbar, starring Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Sonu Sood, and Ila Arun, is the 2009 Filmfare Best Film winner.
The movie has already swept the top 2009 Star Screen awards, 2009 Stardust Awards, and the V Shantaram awards.

1) Dostana

Dostana: 2009 Filmfare Best Film award nominee
Dostana starring John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Kirron Kher, Sushmita Mukherjee, and Boman Irani, was released in 2008. The movie was directed by newbie Tarun Mansukhani.
Dostana is the story of two men (John Abramham and Abhishek Bachchan) who pretend to be homosexuals to rent an apartment, owned by a young girl (Priyanka Chopra) who does not want to rent out her place to men. Dostana was a decent hit, but not a blockbuster.
Dostana is a popular, light, romantic comedy but is unlikely to win the 2009 Filmfare Best Film award.
2) Ghajini

AR Murugadoss’s Ghajini with Aamir Khan, Asin, and Jiah Khan is the biggest blockbuster and biggest grosser in the history of Bollywood.
Ghajini is tipped to be the 2009 Best Film Filmfare award winner. Ghajini is a remake of the Tamil Ghajini, also directed by AR Murugadoss, which in turn is a remake of Christopher Nolan’s Memento.
3) Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi: 2009 Filmfare Best Film nominee
Shahrukh Khan’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi directed by Aditya Chopra, was a huge hit, second only to Ghajini. Rab Bana Di Jodi was 2008’s second-highest grosser after Ghajini.
The movie stars Shahrukh Khan, newcomer Anushka Sharma, and Vinay Pathak. The movie also had special appearances in the song Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte, from Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Lara Dutta, and Bipasha Basu.
4) Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is a nominee of the 2009 Filmfare Best Film award.
This utterly sweet romantic movie stars newcomer Imran Khan, Genelia D’Souza, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Naseeruddin Shah (special appearance).
Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was directed by Abbas Tyrewala, script writer and dialogue writer of movies like Munnabhai MBBS, Asoka, Om Shanti Om, and Maqbool.
5) Rock On

Rock On: 2009 Filmfare Best Film award nominee
Rock On, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, was director Farhan Akhtar’s debut film as an actor. Apart from Farhan Akhtar, the movie starred Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny, Prachi Desai, Shahana Goswami, Koel Purie, and Nicolette Bird.
The winner of the 2008 Filmfare Best Film award was Taare Zameen Par, beating the other nominees in the category, Chak De India, Om Shanti Om, and Guru.

Nominations are nice………. but i am very disappoint .bec Best female playback singer award ——- Alka Yagnik deserves…………..

Gajini was the most deserving film for the award,next to it was dostana. The decision made is unpredictable. The reason behind might be that Aamir Khan does’nt accept the award , and in dostana does’nt comprise of superstar like Hritik.
Alltogether it is totally a blunder decision.

I think al the decisions are very good. Hrithik , jodha akbar truly deserves. Gajhani, rab ne ,dostana are not good that they wil get any awards
