Wiesmann to reveal the MF5 Roadster at 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show

Wiesmann plans to reveal the MF5 Roadster at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, that will be held in September 2009.

The Wiesmann MF5 Roadster is equipped with  a 500bhp V10 engine that develops 383lb ft of torque and can go from 0-62mph in 3.9sec, autocar has reported.

The MF5 Roadster has a top speed of 193mph.

Very little information is available about the Wiesmann MF5 Roadster, except that the car has good safety features.

The car comes with am aluminium monocoque with built-in side-impact guards, dual-stage driver, anti-lock brakes, traction control, passenger airbags, ABS, and DSC.

Reports say that the car will take its style cues from the Wiesmann Roadster MF4 and the Wiesmann MF5 coupe.

The Wiesmann MF5 Roadster will be available at a price of 189,500 Euros or $267,500.

Only 55 units of the Wiesmann MF5 Roadster will be rolled out.

Meanwhile Wiesmann has said that its engineers will “build” a Wiesmann MF4 Roadster during the unveiling of the Wiesmann MF5 Roadster, at the 2009 Frankurt Motor Show.

Wiesmann said that two members of the staff will finish the work on the Wiesmann MF4 Roadster that comes with a 4.8 litre 367 horse-power engine.

“Only this way we will be able to show our manufacturing skills and our productive efficiency to the exhibition-visitors, the customers, and the media-exponents. Like in Duelmen everyone can take a look at our work in Frankfurt,” business manager Friedhelm Wiesmann said.

The company has said that www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/iaa will broadcast the event live on the web. Tool-manufacturer Festool is said to provide the tools to build the car.
