Toyota is planning to unveil new models based on the Prius and its hybrid technology at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2011.

The rumor mills are churning again. Road and Track magazine are reporting that a new generation of the Lexus IS is in the works and will probably make its debut sometime in 2013. Sources reveal that Toyota engineers have started working on a four-door sedan version of Toyota’s FT-86 with a more luxurious version expected to be sold worldwide as the 2014 Lexus IS.

The Lexus LS 600h is the hybrid in the Lexus LS range. Mostly the 2010 version looks like the same car, but there are some welcome upgrades - basically lessons learnt from the Toyota Prius and carried over to the high end Lexus model. The long wheelbase of the car, the Lexus LS 600h L too has been revised on similar lines.

Toyota’s luxury arm Lexus will launch a five-door hybrid compact hatchback concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in September 2009, Autocar has reported. 

Lexus has given four Lexus RX 400h vehicles the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) in order to help raise awareness of the hybrid range among its players.
