Chrysler has confirmed that there will be a new Dodge Viper in 2012 and it will be all-Dodge. The company has said it will not be derived from one of Fiat's Ferrari or Alfa Romeo models, according to a report by the Detroit Free Press, though Fiat engineers will have a significant role in developing the car.

Olivier Francois is new CEO of Chrysler brand, Fred Diaz Jr. chief of Dodge Ram truck group and Ralph Giles takes over Dodge cars.

Chrysler LLC plans to launch two new hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) from its Newark assembly plant in the US. The new HEVs that would debut from the Chrysler assembly line have been christened  Dodge Durango and Chrysler Aspen.

Chrysler has confirmed that the new Chrysler Dodge Journey will hit the showrooms in the UK, by end-August 2008. The front-wheel drive Chrysler Dodge Journey that can carry seven people.

Chrysler and Nissan Motor will start production of its Dodge Hornet next year.
