Woah. This is big news. The upstart Brawn GP which blew away most of the Formula One teams in the first half of the year, and went on to take both 2009 F1 driver's championship and constructors' championship has been practically taken over by one of the biggest automobile manufacturers in the world, Mercedes. Update: Michael Schumacher to race for Mercedes GP!

Brawn GP will step into Honda's shoes to take over the ex-Honda F1 team. Honda had announced their intention to quit Formula One in the 2009 season, and the team's future was in doubt till now.
