Toyota has confirmed that the leaked photos of the 2010 Toyota Prius doing the rounds on the net, are indeed real. The 2010 Toyota Prius will be launched at the Detroit auto show in January 2009.

  The next decade will see Japanese automotive behemoth Toyota unveiling its small all-electric car.

Affordable e-cars are what Detroit Electric currently has in mind. With the Malaysian government keen on having such alternate-fuel run vehicles on its roads,  the electric car brand is set to introduce electric car technology and unveil its business and manufacturing plans in that country.

Chrysler LLC plans to launch two new hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) from its Newark assembly plant in the US. The new HEVs that would debut from the Chrysler assembly line have been christened  Dodge Durango and Chrysler Aspen.

Nissan is lining up mega plans to go green. While Honda and Toyota battle it out in the hybrid car market, Nissan will in 2010, roll out an all electric model. Nissan already has a presence in the hybrid car segment with the hybrid-powered Altima.

Road America, the largest vintage car event in North America, is seeing a special public debut of one of the hugely anticipated cars of all time. Auto behemoth Ford has lined up its 2010 Mustang at the event.

The Chevrolet Beat will make it to the US. Question is, when?
