At the Milan Motor Show, Peugeot introduced a new scooter targeted at women.  The Peugeot scooter is available in 50cc, 125 cc and 150 cc versions.

The new large-wheeled scooter is Peugeot’s attempt to target the European market which tends to love such step-through scooterettes.

16″ wheels ensure that ride comfort is good, and the scooter is believed to be a well-balanced ride. It is not too tall either, with seating height at just 800 mm. There are front disc brakes up front, and sufficient storage space.

From the photos we have here, the Peugeot Tweet is not in any way a radical-looking scooter. On the contrary, it is more of a retro-classic that looks sohisticated and well-finished. Something in which a classy chick can ride to the cafe!

Accessories include a windshiled and luggage rack.

The Peugeot Tweet is squarely targeted at the Italian woman. At this point, there is no more information about the Peugeot Tweet’s specifications or power output.

The Peugeot Tweet is no currently displayed in the Peugeot Italy website, however. We managed to find a press release about the Milan Motor Show and Peugeot’s presence there, which had a couple of photos of the Peugeot Tweet. There is no information the price of the scooter, either. Update: According to Google Translate, at least onn of the scooters will be sold at a price of 1700 euros by March 2010. That would be the 150 cc Tweet, we think.
