Nissan NV200 van ready

Japanese major Nissan Motor has readied its all-new NV200 compact van, which boasts of the best in class cargo efficiency.

The Nissan NV200 van, which is expected to go on sale this year, has been made a charmer. According to reviews, Nissan’s engineers have made it possible to combine large cargo space with the exterior dimensions of a compact segment van. In fact, the new Nissan NV200 will offer possibility to load up to 4.1 cubic meters. It has been pointed out that the new vehicle will will also offer the possibility to maximise cargo space utility.

Nissan has built the NV200 as a vehicle that allows the car maker to enter key markets with an innovative proposition based on customers’ unmet needs. The NV200 creates a new segment in the small van sector, said the company bosses. The NV200 will be launched in Japan in the first half of 2009 and in Europe in the second half of that year.

The company also plans to take the vehicle to China and other markets later on. In its bid to capture the markets in its segment the company has assigned its Light Commercial Vehicle Business Unit (LCV BU) to reinforced sales, service and after sales activities. As part of this, the company has kicked off a Pro-Shop strategy, where in Nissan has created centres across its global network that offer LCV customers a full range of sales and after sales services. A Pro-Shop includes specialised sales persons and dedicated workshop and after sales personnel that understand the unique needs of professional vehicle owners and operators.

In the Japanese terrain, Nissan has kick started as many as 230 outlets in an effort to offer sales and service of light commercial vehicles. Meanwhile, the European operations has Nissan’s light commercial vehicle network boasting of more than 570 outlets.
