Peugeot is readying its new Peugeot 107, which will hit the tarmac in early 2009. The new version is being tipped to be a car that will combine style and performance. Price of the new Peugeot 107 is yet to be confirmed.

According to auto news reports, Peugeot 107 would feature a stylish new face and will boast of better fuel economy, lower CO2 emissions and enhanced equipment with upgraded interior. It is being said that the new 107 will be in Peugeot showrooms by early 2009 with full specification details and pricing details are expected soon.

Apart from the new face, the new look would be beautified with chrome detailing and a new wheel trim design. This is being done to bring in the element of more youthfulness to the car. An economical 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine with a combined-cycle fuel consumption figure of 62.8mpg – an improvement of 2 per cent over the previous model would ensure more fuel efficiency. Besides, CO2 emissions are also reduced to just 106g per km.

Peugeot has spruced up the interiors by including new upholstery material. However, there has been criticism that rear space is not up to the mark.

Overal, the new Peugeot 107 is a more youthful and cheerful car – Peugeot lovers wuld be able to adopt it without any qualms.

An extended roof option is available for the 107, thereby increasing the little Peugeot’s potential load volume to 7 sq.m.

The Peugeot 107 is said to have all in it that would make it stand out in a crowd of similar vehicles. The new 107 increases its appeal by continuing to deliver key benefits that part of its predecessor, enhances those features and also enriches its specification, said a review report.
