It has been four long years since the first Dacia Logan was unveiled. Dacia is set to introduce its New Logan and is likely to hit the markets by July 2008.

(The Logan is available in India as the Mahindra-Renault Logan. We hope the facelifted Logan makes to India soon too!)

The new Dacia Logan is expected to come with the same strengths that the earlier model boasted of. Dacia is keen on retaining the strengths regarding performance and equipment, spacious cabin and reliability features. Apart from these, the New Dacia Logan will have a more contemporary design and a more comfortable interior.

The New Dacia Logan may be called a modern saloon with more contemporary exterior lines that proclaim its quality. Headlights have got bigger and the fog lamps come with elegant carbon colour surrounds depending on version. The New Dacia Logan will be introduced across the majority of Western European markets from July 2008.

The launch of the New Logan (yes, that’s the name!) is well timed – the Logan is four years old in the European markets, looks were seriously outdated, and there is now a pickup and hatchback in the Logan lineup too. Time, really, for some refreshing change.

The rear of the New logan has been upgraded. the Logan has so far had a huge, but pretty unaesthetic boot. The rear bumper also sports a new look with new bodywork. A new range of wheeltrims, alloy wheels and a range of body colours such as Basalt Grey, Electric Blue and Extreme Blue make the new upgraded version a stunner.

The upgrade in range has seen the introduction of two finishes for New Dacia Logan’s dashboard, plus four upholstery options. Designers of the car have ensured that the car is more comfortable and driver-friendly by adding a seat adjustment control and a height-adjustable steering column.

The New Dacia Logan boasts of the same petrol engines and diesel engine that have contributed to the Dacia range’s success. The 1.4 MPI 75hp, 1.6 MPI 90hp and 1.6 16V 105hp all comply with the criteria of cost, robustness and ease of maintenance that are critical to the success of the Dacia Logan.
