Japanese major Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) is thinking green and the auto giant as coined a new tagline to give itself the eco-responsible thrust.
The new global tagline is also aimed at clarifying across all markets about Mitsubishi’s direction for the future. The tagline, ‘Drive@earth’ is expected to go on stream in Japan this summer. The new tagline aims at being the link between the company’s heritage and its future. Drive@earth is an announcement of the company’s renewed focus, and a symbol of its intention to build a new era of sustainable partnership
Mitsubishi aims at positioning the Drive@earth tagline to help it connect to the world. The company has said that that its rally-tested toughness, performance and reliability is known around the world among auto enthusiasts across five continents. Mitsubishi intends to cement this trust with the new tag.
More importantly, Mitsubishi has embarked on a new thrust on environmental issues. Climate change and dwindling oil reserves have become menacingly important and it thinks automakers have a special responsibility. Mitsubishi has set a goal to effect a synergy between dynamic and environmental performance, and will continue to develop technologies such as the zero-emissions i MiEV electric vehicle.
