Mazda’s new Biante minivan is turning out to be popular in Japan with the vehicle more than doubling the sales target in its first month of sales.
Acording to Mazda, orders have surpassed 6,000 units since the Biante was launched in Japan on July 8, 2008. The Mazda Biante is priced at 2,199,000 YEN for the 2.0L DOHC powered version and 2,650,000 YEN for the 2.3L DOHC model.
As per statistics, most customers who selected the Biante have families and are in their 30s and 40s. However, the Mazda Biante minivan has also appealed to customers who liked its exterior design, spacious interiors, and the quiet cabin. The Mazda Biante minivan also is being picked for its fairly superb dynamic stability and its affordability factor.
The Mazda Biante minivan comes with power sliding doors with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. This feature has been appreciated by as many as 90 percent of customers, Mazda has said. Besides, the Clean Air package and the Comfort package have been rated as excellent by around 60 per cent of the customers.
