Dubbed an ultimate luxury vehicle in terms of comfort, the Maybach Landaulet debuts following demand from the original clientele of Maybach. The response to the vehicle is said to have been overwhelming even as it was put on show. It is said that this has prompted Maybach to offer the hand-built Landaulet based exclusively on the customer’s own specifications. As per decision, only a limited number of vehicles will be built over a short period. Specialists are said to be painstakingly handcrafting by material to meet the customers’ requirements.

Offering high-end luxury motoring, the new Landaulet is powered by an uprated V12 engine which Maybach engineers have developed further for the Maybach 57 S and Maybach 62 S together with the specialists at Mercedes-AMG. The twin turbochargers and water intercooling makes it sure that the V12 engine develops a maximum output of 450 kW/612 hp from a displacement of 5980 cubic centimetres. Besides, the twelve-cylinder biturbo engine is hand-assembled in the Mercedes-AMGengine workshops. The car comes equipped with an electronically controlled air suspension system. The Maybach Landaulet is also equipped with two electro-hydraulic Sensotronic Brake Control braking systems working in tandem with each other..
Experts have said that the Maybach Landaulet could even be compared with luxurious super-yachts which are exquisitely beautiful and those that combine sophisticated technology and exotic materials with a close-to experience of nature.
The Maybach Landaulet boasts of generous space and highly comfortable individual seats. Rear passengers can call up a pre-set reclined position at the push of a button, and the backrest can smoothly be tilted backwards. Seat comfort is further enhanced by adjustable air cushions in the backrest and a program-controlled massage function. It has been pointed out that the new Maybach model has adapted the luxurious rear compartment to the requirements of open-top motoring. Further, the intercom in the passenger compartment is fitted with an additional handset in the centre console, allowing passengers to communicate with the driver while the roof is down. The car is expected to be picked up by connoisseurs by autumn this year for a cost close to US$ 1.38 million.
