Rumors are trickling in that Lamborghini has revealed its new highly-exclusive Lamborghini Reventon Roadster to some select clients. The Roadster is expected to make its official appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2009.

The news has not been confirmed by Lamborghini. In fact, there is yet no official confirmation that there would be a Reventon Roadster, but everyone and his dog believes there would be very soon, and we are going with that here!
The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster supercar will primarily be based on the Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster and inherit the bodywork of the Lamborghini Reventon. Here is a rendering of the Roadster from the GlobalMotors.

The highly exclusive Lamborgini Reventon is based on the Murcielago, the original carbon fiber Reventon. Only 20 units of the S1-million Lamborghini Reventon have been produced giving it an almost limited edition status. Some reports say that the Lambo Reventon Roadster will have only 9 units ever produced, and each would cost around US $ 1.6 million! If there is something that can be more exclusive than the Reventon, it would be the Reventon Roadster for sure!
The Lamborghini Reventon was designed in Sant’Agata Bolognese, in Lamborghini’s Centro Stile along with the Lamborghini Research and Development Department.
Some reports suggest that since Lamborghini may find it difficult to pack the Lamborghini Reventon’s power in a Roadster body, it may inherit the engine from the Lamborghini LP650-4 Roadster.
It is not clear whether the extremely powerful Lamborghini Reventon Roadster will have the same engine as the Lamborghini LP670-4SV.
Earlier efforts to produce a roadster version of the car Lamborghini LP670-4SV were dropped due to problems with engine placement.
Rumors say that the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster will feature the 6496 cc 60 degree 670 hp V12 engine. With a top speed of 200 mph the car is rumored to reach 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Although all these specifications are speculative, it is generally expected that the Lamorghini Reventon Roadster will be built on the Lamborghini Murciélago LP650-4 Roadster platform and will have the bodywork of the Lamborghini Reventon.
The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster is expected to make its official debut in September 2009, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, some reports suggest.
Obviously, at this time, there are no Reventon Roadster photos available. What we have here is a rendering of the Roadster showing what it would look like. For a proper photo gallery, you will have to wait for our exclusive coverage of the Frankfurt Motor Show 2009.
