The Kia Borrego is a body-on-frame V8 SUV that seats seven passengers. In the US, it fits into the mid-size SUV category. Kia has a reputation for value for money, but would it be enough to sell the Borrego?

The Borrego features two engine options: A 3.8 liter V6 engine that produces 276 bhp, as well as a 4.6 liter V8 that offers 337 bhp. Claimed fuel efficiency for the Kia Borrego is 15/22 MPG city/highway for the V8 with two-wheel drive, and 15/20 city/highway for the four-wheel drive version.

Standard features would include air conditioning, an AM/FM/CD/MP3 six-speaker audio system with USB and auxiliary input jack. Further, it would also incorporate the SIRIUS Satellite Radio with three months of complimentary service. The Borrego would be the first Kia Motors vehicle to have satellite radio.

Kia says the Borrego is a midsize SUV with an appealing exterior, spacious interior and other features. It would come with a comprehensive warranty program, that includes a 10-year or 100,000-mile limited powertrain warranty; a five-year or 60,000-mile limited basic warranty; and a five-year or 100,000-mile anti-perforation warranty. A five-year or a 60,000-mile roadside assistance plan is also part of the comprehensive coverage program, said reports from the US.
