Let me start by telling you that if you read Fiat’s press release for the Fiorino Qubo, they seem to be saying that this car is for everyone; families, couples, friends. Nice way to market a car, that. Say it will suit everyone, and voila, sales explode!

Te Fiat Fiorino QUbo - Pretty beefy for an MPV
Well, despite that, the Fiorino Qubo which will debut at the Paris Motor Show 2008 in October will likely sell well. It is a multipurpose vehicle (MPV), offers you the standard stuff you expect from such small MPVs plus its good to look at, seriously cute, and very configurable as you can see from the photos here. The Fiat Fiorino Qubo is quite compact too, at 3.959 metres long, 1.735 metres high and 1.716 metres wide with a turning circle of less than 10 metres.

The Fiat Qubo Fioriono features dual sliding doors for easy entrry and exits, six possible seating configurations, and a has a boot that offers a pretty large luggage capacity 330 litres with seats in the normal position, and if measured up to the roof, 650 litres if measured up to the roof. Remove the rear seats, and the Fiorino QUbo gives you 2,500 litres. Count on all that on ny scale on which you judge MPVs, and the Fiat Fiorino Qubo scores an easy pass.

Now we come to the engine. There are two engines available for the Qubo initially. The 1400 cc petrol engine produces 73 hp while the 1.3 litre 16v multijet diesel offers 75 hp with diesel economy. There is the option of a five speed manual transmission, or a six-speed automatic transmission for the Fiat Fiorino Qobo. Top speed offered is 155 kmph, while the combined cycle fuel economy is claimed to be 4.5L per 100 km - which means that the Qubo can actually travel 1000 kilometers on a full tank. The petrol engine of the Qubo offers the same top speed and fuel consumption of 7.0L/100km.
