Daihatsu’s Terios limited edition Kiri for UK

The limited edition Terios Kiri from Daihatsu soon coming to the UK promises to be a hit among car enthusiasts there. Daihatsu is offering customers extra value from its limited-edition Terios Kiri. It has been pointed out that the car maker is making only 250 cars in this series.

Significantly enough, the Terios Kiri will reportedly come with a price tag of just £13,895, as against the £12,995 tag that came with the earlier Terios 1.5 S. And importantly, the £13,895 includes the extra equipment too. A 1.5 litre petrol engine powers the Terios Kiri and it returns 40.4 mpg on the extra urban cycle and boasts of low emissions of 185 g/km .

The Kiri is based on the Terios 1.5 S and boasts of metallic green paint, roof rails, special five-spoke 16 x 6 ins alloy wheels with 215/65 R16 tyres, a hard spare wheel cover, leather-covered steering wheel, front fog lamps and special graphics, said a review.   The standard equipment include airbags for the driver, passengers and on the sides too airbags have been incorporated. These apart, it has also a radio/CD player, four electric windows and reverse parking sensors. Adding to these is the high standard specification which includes air-conditioning, power-steering, ABS with EBD and full-time four-wheel drive with electronic centre diff-lock, it said.

The Kiri, as is the case with all Daihatsu models, comes with five years’ of unlimited mileage warranty. As an additional feature, it also offers five years of road side assistance. The offer runs until the end of the year when it will be reviewed, the company has clarified.

Kiri is part of the Terios series, which was voted ‘4×4 Of The Year’ winner for the second year running by 4×4 Magazine. The Terios series has also been named as the Budget Class Winner for year 2008.
