Dacia Duster launched in Europe, UK launch possible
The Dacia Duster is a crossover from the Renault subsidiary Dacia, most famous for its low cost sedan Logan, and the Sandero hatchback.

The Dacia Duster will make its appearance in Europe in 2010, and possibly will come to the UK a bit later. Price has not been officially revealed, but expect it to be priced lower than comparable crossovers. So far, no car under the Dacia brand is being sold in UK. However, this will happen only after Dacia develops a right-hand drive version for the UK market.
The Duster is available in both 4×4 and 2×4 variants.
Considering that the Logan is not exactly doing well in the Indian market, it is possible that that Renault might look at introducing the Duster in India too, as a budget SUV priced above the local cheap ones, and below the ones from international manufacturers such as Ford, Honda and Toyota.
Two engines are available for the Duster: A 1600 cc 16v petrol producing 108 bhp, or diesels producing either 84 bhp or 104 bhp.
The Duster is a five-seater, at 4.31 metres long and 1.82 metres wide. the 4×4 variant splits power 50/50 between front and rear axles, and a ground clearance of 20 cm should take care of average problems on bad roads.
