Confederate Motorycles has unveiled the latest muscle bike dubbed as C3 X 132 Hellcat. It will be built only in limited numbers (150 units and 22 have been booked already).  The muscle bike will go on sale in mid-2011 for US $45, 000 and to reserve one, you ought to pay US $2, 250 now.

The company claims that the new C3 Hellcat is the toughest motorcycle ever made because they have developed a new unitized powertrain casing that offers a superior structural integrity. The 2011 C3 X 132 is powered by a 52-degree V-twin engine displacing 2163 cc, capable of developing 197Nm of torque and sufficient power (exact hp is not yet announced).

The massive low RPM torque is achieved by a drag racing-derived system designed, specified and built to maintain perfect crankshaft to output shaft alignment, irrespective of the suddenness or the volume of torque applications, a company report said. The twin cylinder Copperhead engine has been specially made by S&S Cycle and has a one-piece forged crank and the unit is paired to a five speed transmission of Confederate.

While Brembo brakes cuts down the bike’s speed, the Race-Tech suspension insulates the rider from uneven surfaces. The 17 inch carbon fiber wheels, integrated high density discharge (HID) headlamp, LED tail lamp, brake, running lights and blinker system are loaded in the 2011 Hellcat. Weighing 215 kg, the bike can hold 18 full litres of fuel. Hellcat will be produced at the New Orleans facility of Confederate motorcycles.

With a very few models launched in the past such as the Hellcat Combat F131, Wraith B120, Fighter P120, will Confederate attract the top 10% of Harley Davidson customers with its new limited C3 X 132 Hellcat?
