Alfa Romeo Cloverleaf series comes back with Alfa GT

The exotic car maker is bringing back the historic cloverleaf badge to British roads with its special series Alfa GT.

The Alfa GT which will go on sale on July 1, will mark the return of the Cloverleaf which proclaims added sports handling characteristics along with distinctive styling additions.

The Alfa GT will be available in four versions. The top end of the Cloverleaf range is the Alfa GT Q2 which will be powered by the 1.9JTDM 16V 170bhp engine. It will feature a Q2 limited slip differential to deliver outstanding cornering ability.

All Alfa GT Cloverleaf models would come with exclusive 18” double spoke alloy wheels.

The 170bhp 1.9 JTDM engine powers the Alfa GT Q2 Cloverleaf from 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 134mph.

Meanwhile, the 150bhp 1.9 JTDM will accelerate from 0-62mph in 9.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 130mph. The 2.0JTS engine version will accelerate from 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds, and reach a top speed of 134mph. The 1.8 petrol engine version would boast of a top speed of 124mph, with 0-62mph acceleration in 10.6 seconds.

While three versions of the car would adorn the Cloverleaf badge on the boot lid, the 170bhp version will have the badge inside a white triangle above the front wheel arch.  Alfa Romeo would bring in the versions in three different hues namely Carbonio black, Alfa Red and Atlantico Blue.

Among the features would be leather sports seats, aluminium sports pedals and sports dials with a red background.  Besides these, a Bose RDS radio with CD and MP3 reader sound system would also be incorporated. It has been pointed out that the versions of the model would include ABS anti-lock braking with EBD, VDC with brake assist, dual zone air conditioning, steering wheel-mounted stereo controls and rear parking sensor.
