Alfa Romeo 159 Limited Edition in UK comes with offers

Coinciding with the launch of the Alfa 159 Limited Edition, Italian major Alfa Romeo is doling out a handful of offers in the UK. According to auto news reports, the car maker in its bid to celebrate the launch of the Alfa 159 Limited Edition, is giving motorists the chance to win ready-to-race James Bond Quantum of Solace Scalextric sets featuring the Aston Martin DBS and the Alfa 159.

The much hyped limited edition Alfa 159 is to cost £22,168 on road. The car, in the meanwhile, comes with more than £3000 worth of gadgets, including lowered suspension, red Brembo brake callipers, sports dials with red background, black leather upholstery, Carbonio black metallic paint and darkened 19” spoke alloy wheels, the Alfa Romeo 159 Limited Edition is a new secret weapon for dealers across the country.

Alfa Romeo is making only a limited number of 250 units which will be powered by 1.9 JTDM 150bhp diesel engines. The Alfa Romeo 159 will reach 62mph from rest in 9.2 seconds and 47mpg .

According to Alfa Romeo, motoring enthusiasts who look to win  James Bond Quantum of Solace Scalextric set, would be required to test drive any new Alfa 159 and complete a form at their local Alfa Romeo dealership.

Though the limited edition 159 model is available only in exclusive specifications, the auto giant had launched the Alfa 159 both in front and four-wheel drive, configurations. These models are already available on the 3.2 litre petrol and 2.4 litre diesel engines.

The Alfa Romeo 159’s gearbox comes in a six-speed manual format on most models, while a six-speed automatic Q-Tronic gearbox is available for the 1.9 diesel, 2.4 diesel and 3.2 petrol models.

It may be recalled that a sportwagon variant of the vehicle was displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2006. An automatic gearbox option for the 2.4 JTDM diesel model was also launched that year, and later extended to other versions. The car maker, later in 2007, unveiled its four wheel drive diesel model and this year the car was spruced up by focusing more on the mechanics and interiors of the 159.
