2010 Kawasaki 1400 GTR gets traction control, ABS and possible infrared night vision

The 2010 Kawasaki 1400 GTR motorcycle could be a game changer, from what little information has been leaking out so far.

The current version of the Kawasaki 1400 GTR motorcycle is already technologically quite advanced.  The 2010 version is rumoured to come with a heads up display and infrared night vision. It is already confirmed that the Kawasaki 1400 GTR motorcycle there would come with what would be the first ever traction control system from the company.

The current GTR already offers variable valve timing, keyless ignition, tire pressure sensors.

It is possible that the infrared night vision would be available as an add-on to other motorcycles from the company’s range.

The infrared vision on motorcycle works like this: Fitted into the motorcycle’s rear view mirrors are two infrared cameras which can see even in absolute darkness.  The range of the infrared cameras is much beyond what the headlight beam can provide.  The images are sent to the bike’s computer, which creates a stereoscopic image on the LCD screen.

Infra red, night vision equipment is nothing new on high luxury cars, but this is probably the first time such equipment is offered on motorcycles.

So, is this infrared night vision to be offered on the heads of display (HUD)?  We are not sure.  Even the way it works is better explained in a video than what I am attempting to do here.

At this point, there is no information available on the possible launch date of motorcycle, or even its approximate price.  We will be standing by for more information on the technology by of word on the motorcycle and when it would reach showrooms.
