2010 Audi S5 Sportback at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show

Audi has announced that it will launch the 2010 Audi S5 Sportback  at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, which will be held this September.The 2010 Audi S5 Sportback, that is derived from the Audi A5 Sportback, will have an optional torque-biasing sport differential for better driving dynamics.

Unlike the Audi A5 Sportback, the 2010 Audi S5 Sportback will have an aggressive front and unpainted side mirrors, reports say.

Powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine fitted with a supercharger, the 2010 Audi S5 Sportback will go from 100km/h in 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.

It delivers 245kW (333hp) and 440Nm of torque between 2,900rpm and 5,300rpm.

The  2010 Audi S5 Sportback will have a seven-speed S Tronic dual-clutch transmission that will deliver power to all four wheels using the quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Audi claims that the car will deliver a fuel economy of 9.7 l/100km.

The 2010 Audi S5 Sportback car will have a 5-seat coupe configuration.

Audi has said that the car will come with 18-inch aluminum wheels fitted with 245/40 tires, Speed-dependent servotronic steering, black brake calipers bearing S5 emblems at the front, and electrically adjustable S sports seats covered with Silk Nappa leather.

The 2010 Audi S5 Sportback will be available in Europe by March 2010, at a price of €57,900 (AU$98,500).

Audi will launch two other models at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Audi A4 3.0TDI clean diesel quattro and the Audi A3 1.2 TFSI.

The Audi A4 3.0TDI clean diesel quattro will come with a 3.0 TDI clean diesel engine that will power the car from zero to sixty in 6.2 seconds. The car wil be equipped with super-clean emissions technology that will eliminate NOx pollutants using a new DeNOX catalyst, reports say.

The top speed of the car is 250 km/h, same as that of the 2010 Audi S5 Sportback.

Fitting with the 1.2l TFSI engine, the Audi A3 1.2 TFSI can go from 0 to 60 in 11.3 seconds, hitting a top speed of 190 km/h. The car will be available with a six-speed transmission and four-wheel drive only.
