Ferrari goes hybrid at Geneva with HY-KERS equipped 599 GTB Fiorano

General Motors has claimed that the 2011 Chevrolet Volt, that is slated for launch in November 2010, will deliver a mileage of 230 miles per gallons.

Toyota’s luxury arm Lexus will launch a five-door hybrid compact hatchback concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in September 2009, Autocar has reported. 

After Toyota and Honda, it is now the turn of Volkswagen. The company is recalling close to 200,000 units of its Novo Gol and Novo Voyage models.

General Motors, the US based automaker, has inked a last minute deal to save its Saab brand by selling it to Dutch firm Spyker. Without disclosing the financial details of the deal, GM said in a statement that it has sold its money losing Swedish brand Saab to Spyker.
