Underground music in India and Pakistan
B C Sutta and G mein D are two songs that are rocking the underground music movement in India and Pakistan.

If F-words and worse are used everyday in music abroad, why can't we? Good point. There are bands that write and perform numbers with lyrics that are offensive to many, and thrilling to others.
We do not think BodhiTree and
Zeest would like such an introduction to them. Well, the initial interest in their music arises out of the 'unspeakable' words that pepper the lyrics of
BodhiTree and Zeest. But look at their songs closer, and you would appreciate the music, and for all you know, you could perhaps identify better with their music.
After all, while certain words such as
g**** and BC are offensive to many in certain contexts, there is no denying the fact that they form integral parts of
vocabulary of the college-goer, schoolboy and even some top CEOs in the country that I know personally.
So, BC, just enjoy the songs, okay?
Zeest is a Pakistani band best known for their
BC sutta number. It's hilarious, and listeners aged 40 break out into a smile when they listen to this smokers' anthem. No wonder every Indian rock show features it.
Zeest is now working on a video of
BC Sutta.
GMD, or g**** mein d****, is more amateurish, but excellent nevertheless, with
sentimental lyrics and vocals. Composed and performed by
BodhiTree, the soft tone of the number is in direct contrast to the rib-tickling lyrics.
BodhiTree is a band from XLRI Jamshedpur and their songs are essentially about their experiences at XLRI - but anyone who ahs been through college can identify with them.
Other famous songs by BodhiTree are
XL ki kudiyaan (cover), Too many potatoes
and sabka katega.
This page would soon feature the lyrics of both the bands as well as links to download mp3 files of all the songs. Just give us a day or two.
