Saffron Media launches travel news
portal, news magazine for India

Saffron Media Private Limited, a
division of the Adfactors Group, has
launched India’s first travel news
portal as well as a weekly travel news
magazine.
The magazine Travel Biz Monitor will
focus on the Indian travel and tourism
industry, reports exchange4media.com.
Saffron Media’s news portal would
provide travel-related news service to
those engaged in travel business.
According to Madan Bahal, director of
Saffron Media, both the magazine and
the news portal are completely
trade-oriented and
business-to-business affairs. The end
readers would not be the common
consumers but those in the travel
trade. This, Madan Bahal said, is the
first of its kind in India because
other travel sites fulfill only the
consumers’ need.
The magazine, he said, would combine a
range of current news stories across
the industry, backed by analyses and
perspectives. It will feature
dedicated sections on trend and
strategy analyses, as well as current
industrial facts and figures aimed at
helping readers with a single window
of research on the travel trade.
Sheldon Santwan, editor of Travel Biz
Monitor, says both the publication and
portal deal with serious business and
provide travel news fastest with best
of content. The magazine is also
different from others available on the
newsstand in that others are either
monthly or fortnightly, he adds.
