Rajasthan Royals’ skipper Shane Warne to skip Hampshire county commitments

Rajasthan Royals IPL Twenty20 team captain and coach Shane Warne has said he would not be able to honour his English county commitments due to his dual role in IPL. The 38-year-old Shane Warne plays for Hampshire in English county.

This is the latest in a series of player withdrawals from their previous commitments, including national duties.

Five New Zealand players have decided to give a skip to warm up matches in England to participate in IPL.

Three West Indian players may altogether skip Australia’s Caribbean tour also, it is reliably learnt.

The inaugural edition of IPL is from April 18to June 1.

Australia’s tour of Pakistan has already been rescheduled due to security concerns, but charges have been traded that it was to enable many key players to participate in IPL.
