Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Pataudi to select IPL Twenty20 player of the league
Sunil Gavaskar, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Ravi Shastri, all former Indian captains, will form the panel to select the Player of the League in the DLF IPL Twenty20 tournament.
The Player of the League will be awarded a million rupees by Twenty20 title sponsors, DLF, India’s largest listed real estate firm.
IPL chairman Lalit Modi announced the panel.
The IPL Twenty20 starts in Bangalore on April 18.
UB Group’s Vijay Mallya promoted Bangalore Royal Challengers, led by former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid, takes on Shah Rukh Khan promoted Kolkata Knight Riders, led by another former India captain Sourav Ganguly in the opening match.
