Kolkata Knight Riders’ Shah Rukh Khan mired in IPL Twenty20 ticket row

Kolkata Knight Riders team owner and Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan has landed in a soup over ticket distribution of DLF IPL Twenty20 matches.

Cricket Members Forum of Bengal has filed a case in a Kolkata court challenging the authority of Cricket Association of Bengal to distribute tickets for the tournament.

The forum wants free tickets to all its members for matches in Eden Gardens. The forum claimed in the suit that as per Rule 15 (ii) of Cricket Association of Bengal forum members were eligible for free tickets. The court is hearing the matter on Wednesday.

“According to Rule-15 of CAB constitution all life members, associate members and affiliated members are supposed to get free tickets for all matches organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. We are 31,000 members and this match is not for any benevolent cause or charity. So, there is no reason why we will not get our free tickets,” Cricket Members’ Forum of Bengal Convener, Abhijit Sarkar said.

SRK, feeling a little panicky? You should have remembered you are amongst Bengalis - not the best of people to have around for a business, eh? We are sure you will find a way around this somehow!

  1. Cricket Members Forum of Bengal should leave their office address , contact nos. & membership form to join members like me (LIFE) in the movement….I am sure all 31000 will join instead of 6000 to strengthen the case of ours;
    More over, it is below dignity for all members to go for long ques to collect the TICKETS….this should be distributed as the MEMBERSHIP CARD is distrubuted;

    An action in this regard will be highly appreciated;
