Imtiaz Patel to succeed Malcom Speed as ICC chief executive, I S Bindra is principal advisor
Imtiaz Patel, an Indian of South African origin, has been named International Cricket Council’s new chief executive to replace Australian Malcom Speed. He will take over from the current ICC chief Malcolm Speed when he steps down in June. Patel is the chief executive of South African broadcast network Supersport.
The ICC executive board meet in Dubai also named for BCCI president I S Bindra as principal advisor, a newly-created post.
Imtiaz Patel was a director of the United Cricket Board of South Africa. I S Bindra is the president of the Punjab Cricket Association and is a member of the IPL governing board.
