This is the first ad from the promoters of IPL which declares the arrival of IPL, the Indian Twenty20 tournament, which features prominent foreign players alongside Indian players.

The name of the ad-campaign Karm Yudh implies that the tournament would be a battle of skills.

And this ad-campaign is just the beginning. IPL is planning to include three more campaigns with six different films which will feature different themes. The rest in the ad-campaign series would be released in the coming weeks.

Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman South Asia, O&M, says, “There will be more. You will see where we engage with the audiences, where we capture the spirit of how people are favouring different teams on a day-to-day level. So, you will see a lot of fun and excitement. We can’t match the passion of the game, but we will try our best to do that.”

The budget set aside for the ad-campaign by the promoters of IPL is a huge Rs 100 crore. Other than the promoters of the IPL, each franchisees have their own marketing and branding plans.
